Secrets in your account vault
Credentials are stored in the account vault and fetched by the desktop over authenticated HTTPS. The desktop never writes them back.
One VM per project
Projects do not share a machine, so one project's files and tools stay isolated from another's.
HTTPS only
Project workstations accept traffic on port 443 only.
Auto-wipe TTL
Set a lifetime when you create a project. Expired workstations are wiped.
Password-protected VM desktop
The workstation's graphical desktop is protected by a per-project password.

Questions
What runs where?
The Cockpit desktop app runs on your computer. Each project gets a Linux workstation in the cloud with sf, Maven, git and a Mule runtime. Your credentials are kept in the web vault at app.cockpitai.io.
Do I need a MuleSoft licence?
Bring your own Anypoint and Salesforce accounts. Cockpit connects to the accounts you already have and does not resell platform licences.
What does the VM cost?
Pricing is shared during onboarding.
How are secrets handled?
Secrets are stored in your account vault and fetched by the desktop over authenticated HTTPS when it needs them. The desktop does not write secrets back to the vault, and the admin console only sees whether a credential is present.
What happens when a project expires?
When a project's auto-wipe time is reached, its workstation and disk are deleted. Anything you want to keep should be pushed to your own repository first.
Which OS does the desktop run on?
